Early Head Start Application Procedure for Families

TVCCA Head Start uses a referral/application process to recruit and enroll 3 and 4 year old children for all of their New London County programs.

They also have a small Infant-Toddler program in the Norwich area for parents who are able to attend with their child.

Once the initial referral contact is complete they will call you to schedule an application appointment.

You will be asked to bring the following:

• Your child's Birth Certificate
• Social Security cards for everyone living in the household
• Four weeks of consecutive pay verification
• Legal Guardianship, if it applies
• Copy of your child's last physical, including dates for TB and lead tests.
• During this appointment they will discuss options that will best meet the needs of the families.
• For preschool non-working parents, they offer both morning or afternoon classrooms, held on a school year schedule.
